Programs Foundation
Behavioral Services, Inc. offers tailored programs to develop generative language skills, improve social interactions, address challenging behaviors, and enhance independence. We provide therapy and programs that meet each child at their age and developmental level, including individual and group sessions designed to build essential skills and confidence. Each child receives personalized support to meet their unique needs and goals.
Our programs are built on generative language to provide the necessary foundation in each program and age level. This core practice teaches how to combine words, phrases, and ideas in fresh ways to express thoughts, respond to new situations, or engage in spontaneous conversation. This practice, applied within each of our programs, enhances the child’s ability to:

Our goal with each program is to foster emotional well-being by encouraging self-expression and resilience. Through creative and engaging activities, children learn to navigate challenges, build meaningful relationships, and develop a deep sense of self-worth. This holistic approach ensures that therapy is not only functional but also enriching on a personal level.
Early Start Program
Ages 12 months to 5 years.
Designed to build a strong foundation, our program prepares your child to step confidently into school and social settings. We focus on developing essential language, communication, and social skills that empower them to navigate everyday life with greater ease. Through close partnership with parents, we address real-world behavioral challenges in everyday places—such as the grocery store, park, library, or school—while conducting weekly home visits. This hands-on collaboration equips parents with practical, effective strategies while helping the child build the confidence and skills needed to engage positively across diverse environments.
Our program integrates Pivotal Response Training (PRT), a naturalistic, play-based approach rooted in ABA. By targeting key pivotal areas, PRT boosts motivation, communication, language, and social initiations—leading to meaningful gains in positive behaviors, reduced challenges, and greater independence.
Explorer Program
Ages 5-11 years.
The Explorer Program combines Generative Language Training and Pivotal Response Training (PRT) to build meaningful social skills through interactive group activities and mentoring. Designed specifically for children ages 5–11, this program develops practical, functional skills that support success at school, at home, and in the community. We focus on real-world demands such as classroom participation, peer relationships, and growing independence—helping children increase positive behaviors like communication, social engagement, and self-reliance while reducing challenging behaviors like tantrums, aggression, and avoidance.
By targeting these key areas, we help children generalize their skills across different environments and maintain them over time. This approach fosters greater independence and improves overall quality of life, empowering children to participate more fully and confidently in school and social settings. Through PRT, learning stays fun, motivating, and closely tied to each child’s interests—creating meaningful progress that lasts. Parental involvement continues to be critical in the child’s development.
Navigators Program
Ages 11-14 years.
The Navigators Program builds on the communication, language, and social skills your child has already developed to strengthen meaningful connections with family, peers, and caregivers. Through Social Development Groups and mentorship, children learn more advanced social skills. They practice expressing their thoughts, ideas, and emotions clearly while learning to read social cues, body language, humor, and sarcasm in others, helping them adjust in real-life situations.
As children refine these skills, they experience significant gains in both verbal and nonverbal communication. This growing confidence helps them share their needs and emotions more effectively, laying a strong foundation for a successful transition into adolescence and young adulthood. Ongoing collaboration with parents remains essential—we equip families with practical strategies they can use every day, while empowering each child to engage positively and confidently across all environments.
Dreamers Program
Ages 15-21 years.
The Dreamers Program empowers adolescents and young adults to lead more independent and fulfilling lives as they prepare for the next chapter ahead. Designed for ages 12–21, this program shifts the focus from foundational skills to complex, real-world applications. We help teens navigate the challenges of middle and high school, peer relationships, emotional ups and downs, and the important transition to postsecondary education, employment, or independent living.
At the heart of the program is establishing the values that will guide them through life and guiding them as they dream about their future. This involves building greater self-management across daily life, school, work, and community settings. We continue strengthening social and communication skills to help them form and maintain meaningful relationships. Teens learn effective coping strategies to manage stress, frustration, and anxiety while improving emotional regulation. In partnership with parents, we address interfering behaviors—such as avoidance, aggression, or withdrawal—and focus on essential life skills, vocational readiness, and self-advocacy to support a confident, successful transition into adulthood.
Counseling Services
Ages 3-21 years.
We have two licensed professional counselors on staff who provide compassionate counseling for individuals from age three through adulthood. While counseling is not an ABA intervention, it works hand-in-hand with our ABA programs to deliver more comprehensive, well-rounded support. Our counselors specialize in working with both neurodivergent and neurotypical children and adults, including those facing behavioral challenges.
Through counseling, individuals learn to recognize and manage sensory input, emotions, anxiety, and the thought patterns that influence behavior. In a supportive, pressure-free environment, they build essential skills in self-advocacy, social navigation, and coping strategies. We also actively involve parents, equipping them with co-regulation techniques and practical home strategies.
